Overview

The Operations Program Engineer position at Amarx Search, Inc. is a contract role based in El Segundo, California, aimed at supporting a large international defense and aerospace company. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field and U.S. Citizenship due to government contracting regulations. The position focuses on Control Account Manager tasks, integrating with various teams to manage tooling and project cost control.

Key responsibilities

  • Acquaint yourself with all engineering and technical aspects of tools used to manufacture aircraft components.
  • Coordinate with technical leadership across a cross-functional Integrated Program Team (IPT) to meet program objectives.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to customers and stakeholders.
  • Define, plan, perform, monitor, control, and complete a variety of project tasks simultaneously.
  • Perform Control Account Management (CAM) duties and track budget actuals.
  • Coordinate Change Requests with Business Management and Scheduling team.
  • Support logistics team and generate staffing requirements.
  • Facilitate internal meetings to ensure staffing needs meet baseline.
  • Perform schedule risk assessments to identify and mitigate program risks.
  • Monitor project requirements, facilitate team meetings, and track action items.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experience in Program/Project Management, Control Account Management (CAM), and Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Data analysis and cost control skills
