Overview

Loomis is seeking an Operations Manager for their Allentown, Pennsylvania location. The role involves overseeing various operational functions including route and dispatch operations, vehicle maintenance, and ensuring safety and compliance within the organization. The Operations Manager will lead training and development for operations staff, manage customer service capabilities, and coordinate with law enforcement agencies to maintain security standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Recruit, interview, test, and train operations personnel
  • Oversee route, dispatch, vault, and terminal operations
  • Ensure timely preventive maintenance and repairs on vehicles and equipment
  • Control operational costs and manage overtime hours
  • Ensure employee safety through training and compliance with policies
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints
  • Develop short and long-range operational plans
  • Deliver training to licensed armed drivers and terminal employees
  • Establish relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement
  • Maintain compliance with DOT, OSHA, and EPA regulations

Required skills

  • 3-5 years of leadership experience
  • Logistics or transportation experience
  • College education or military experience preferred
  • 1-2 years of safety and security experience
  • Knowledge of Transit Vault, coin vault, and CMS
