Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Operations Leader - Spray Foam Sprayer / Technician Lead to join our team. This hands-on leadership role combines technical expertise in spray foam application with operational management and customer service responsibilities. The ideal candidate will lead a small crew, manage the spray foam rig and equipment, ensure high-quality installations, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. This position is perfect for a skilled spray foam technician ready to step into a leadership role while continuing to perform field work.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical & Field LeadershipLead spray foam insulation projects from start to finish, including preparation, application, and cleanupPerform high-quality open-cell and closed-cell spray foam installations according to manufacturer specifications and job requirementsOperate, maintain, and troubleshoot spray foam rigs, proportioners, hoses, guns, and all related equipmentManage daily rig setup, material loading, inventory tracking, and secure transportEnsure proper safety protocols, PPE usage, and job site cleanliness at all timesTrain and mentor junior technicians on proper spray techniques, equipment handling, and safety standardsOperations & Rig ManagementOversee daily operations of the spray foam division, including scheduling, job planning, and resource allocationMaintain accurate records of material usage, job logs, and equipment maintenancePerform routine preventive maintenance on the spray foam rig and equipment to minimize downtimeMonitor and manage inventory of spray foam chemicals, parts, and suppliesIdentify and resolve operational challenges to improve efficiency and productivityManage and balance labor resources between prep, clean up and blow in insulation jobsCustomer Service & Quality ControlServe as the primary point of contact for customers on the job siteCommunicate clearly with homeowners, builders, and project managers regarding project scope, timeline, and expectationsEnsure all work meets or exceeds quality standards and customer satisfactionAddress customer questions and concerns professionally and promptlyConduct post-job walkthroughs and follow-up to guarantee complete customer satisfactionOther Duties as Assigned Qualifications & Requirements2-4 years of hands-on experience as a spray foam sprayer/technicianOSHA 10 CertifiedSPFA Spray Foam CertificationsProven ability to lead small crews and manage spray foam operationsStrong working knowledge of both open-cell and closed-cell spray foam systemsExperience operating and maintaining Graco, Gusmer, or equivalent spray foam proportioners and rigsValid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required)Ability to pass background check and drug screeningStrong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skillsExcellent physical condition - able to work in confined spaces, on ladders/scaffolding, and in various weather conditionsCommitment to safety and quality workmanship Preferred SkillsPrior leadership or crew lead experienceBasic knowledge of building science and insulation best practicesExperience with job costing, material estimating, and inventory managementStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to read blueprints and understand job specificationsWhat We OfferCompetitive hourly pay with opportunities for increases based on performance and trainingCompany bonus structureOvertime opportunitiesTraditional and Roth 401K with 4% matchPaid time off and holidaysOngoing training and career development opportunitiesCompany vehicle or rig usage for qualified candidatesTools and safety equipment provided
