Overview

ProAmpac is a global leader in flexible packaging, providing comprehensive products and innovative solutions. The role of the Flexographic Press Operator involves operating and optimizing multi-color flexographic printing presses while ensuring product quality, color management, and adherence to production standards under the supervision of a production supervisor.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare production schedule and tasks
  • Select and validate printing materials and inks
  • Set up and operate multi-color flexographic presses
  • Monitor and maintain print quality continuously
  • Perform colorimetric quality control using a spectrophotometer
  • Lead and coordinate assistant operators
  • Record inventory transactions and production data
  • Participate in cleaning operations and maintenance of printing equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards

Required skills

  • 5 to 7 years of experience as a lead flexographic press operator
  • Operational mastery of multi-color flexographic presses (8 to 10 colors)
  • Knowledge of anilox systems and ink viscosity
  • Expertise in colorimetric control with a spectrophotometer
  • Familiarity with flexible packaging substrates
  • Experience with production ERP systems
