Overview

ProAmpac, a global leader in flexible packaging, is seeking a Night Flexographic Press Operator to ensure the optimized operation of multi-color flexographic printing presses. The role requires expertise in quality control, color management, and team leadership as the operator will supervise their team while maintaining production and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare production schedules
  • Select and validate printing materials and inks
  • Prepare and document new color sequences
  • Operate multi-color flexographic presses
  • Monitor and maintain print quality throughout the production run
  • Perform colorimetric quality control using a spectrophotometer
  • Lead and coordinate assistants operating the press
  • Manage inventory transactions and production data
  • Ensure compliance with safety and 5S standards

Required skills

  • 5 to 7 years of experience as a lead flexographic press operator
  • Operational mastery of multi-color flexographic presses (8 to 10 colors)
  • In-depth knowledge of anilox systems and ink viscosity
  • Mastery of colorimetric control using a spectrophotometer
  • Knowledge of flexible packaging substrates: PE, PET, BOPP, PVC, IML, aluminum, paper
  • Ability to utilize production ERP systems
