Overview

Wajax Limited is seeking a Machine Operator for night shifts, responsible for operating machines that assemble rotor poles for hydroelectric energy production. The role includes mechanical assembly, operating presses, conducting electrical quality control tests, and coordinating with supervisors on various tasks.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate machinery for assembling rotor poles
  • Perform mechanical assembly as needed for aggregation
  • Operate presses for generator poles and windmill coils
  • Conduct electrical quality control tests
  • Perform necessary dimensional checks
  • Identify aggregation defects and propose solutions
  • Complete required tracking documentation
  • Carry out other tasks assigned by supervisors

Required skills

  • Knowledge of electricity principles
  • Understanding of imperial and metric measurement systems
  • Mechanical skills (an asset)
