Job Description

Overview

Amazon is looking for an experienced Onsite Medical Representative (OMR) to join their Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The OMR will work closely with WHS managers and specialists to promote safety and wellness, assess and administer first aid, engage with associates, and maintain health and safety records.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide first aid support and refer care to outside medical providers as necessary
  • Minimize risk of injury through awareness and proactive engagement
  • Maintain records of care provided to associates
  • Coordinate workers' compensation and return to work programs
  • Provide daily activity logs and end of shift reports
  • Engage with associates and leadership on operations floor regarding safety practices
  • Maintain clean working environment and manage medical supply inventory
  • Participate in training for first aid, CPR, and AED
  • Assist with random drug testing protocols
  • Deliver effective care in emergencies and support emergency response on-site

Required skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic certification
  • Athletic Trainer Certification from the Board of Certification or equivalent
  • Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with industrial wellness programs
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers' compensation
  • Proficiency in digital recordkeeping
  • Military experience as Combat Medic or equivalent is preferred
