Overview

BAS Healthcare is seeking a full-time Oncology Nurse Practitioner to provide locum coverage in Santa Monica, California. This role involves working in a well-established health center known for its comprehensive oncology services, focusing on surgical oncology and general surgery.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide full-time locum coverage for 5 days a week in clinic and inpatient rounding
  • Conduct daily inpatient rounding and ER consults as needed
  • Assist in the clinic primarily on Tuesdays and Fridays
  • Manage in-basket tasks, patient calls, test results, and post-op concerns
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Complete privileging documentation within 5 days of receipt
  • Focus on GI Cancer Surgery and utilize EPIC electronic medical record system

Required skills

  • Board Certification Eligible - Surgical/General Oncology NP
  • Experience in GI Cancer Surgery
  • Proficient in EPIC electronic medical record system
  • BLS certification (ACLS preferred but not required)
  • Must be licensed in California
  • At least 25 case logs in the last two years
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
