Overview

As a Patient Care Associate at Mercy, you will assist in the individualized care of patients under the guidance of an RN or LPN. This role involves performing clinical and non-clinical support tasks to help patients achieve their highest level of wellness, while working collaboratively as part of a team.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the individualized care of patients
  • Perform designated clinical procedures
  • Carry out non-clinical support tasks essential to patient care
  • Work cooperatively with team members
  • Complete required training and competencies within specified timeframes
  • Meet minimum physical requirements, including lifting and prolonged standing

Required skills

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • CNA/CPTC or enrollment in a healthcare career program
  • BLS Certification required within one month of hire
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift 50 pounds
  • Physical fitness for prolonged standing, walking, and performing various tasks
