Overview

B&S Site Development is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented OHS Coordinator to join their team. This role focuses on promoting a safe work environment across various construction sites, implementing and monitoring safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly site safety audits and inspections to identify hazards and unsafe practices.
  • Be present for daily crew huddles to monitor safety compliance.
  • Ensure all employees and subcontractors follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Assist in reporting, investigating, and documenting workplace incidents.
  • Organize and deliver safety training sessions on hazard recognition and PPE usage.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of safety meetings and incident reports.
  • Complete administrative obligations related to safety oversight.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety awareness among workers and management.
  • Ensure proper use and availability of personal protective equipment on-site.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety preferred
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in safety management
  • OSHA 30 Construction certification required
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety regulations
  • Effective communication and people skills
  • Ability to identify potential hazards
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced construction environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
