Overview

B & S Site Development is seeking an enthusiastic OHS Coordinator to promote a safe work environment across various construction sites. This role involves implementing, monitoring, and maintaining safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct weekly site safety audits and inspections
  • Be present for daily crew huddles
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines
  • Assist in incident reporting and investigation
  • Organize and deliver safety training sessions for employees
  • Maintain safety documentation and records
  • Complete required administrative duties
  • Promote a strong culture of safety awareness
  • Monitor the use and condition of personal protective equipment (PPE)

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety (preferred)
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in health and safety
  • Self-motivated with effective communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety regulations
  • Ability to identify potential hazards
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required
