Overview

On Grid Infrastructure Services is looking for an Ohio Gas Turbine & Heat Recovery Boiler Operator for a 6 to 8-month contract position in Ashtabula, Ohio, starting in July. The role involves overseeing and operating gas turbines and heat recovery boilers while ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Operate gas turbines and heat recovery boilers and auxiliary equipment
  • Monitor pressure, temperature, and fuel consumption levels
  • Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Record and analyze equipment performance data
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and environmental policies
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and system failures
  • Coordinate with contractors and other facility personnel for repairs and upgrades
  • Keep accurate logs of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance

Required skills

  • Ohio High Pressure Operator's License or Higher
  • Strong knowledge of boiler systems, combustion processes, and water treatment
  • Familiarity with computerized control systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces
