Overview

The Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) Module Engineer role at Intel involves developing manufacturable process modules and overseeing the factory's 300mm toolsets. The role includes responsibilities such as ensuring toolset safety and cleanliness, maintaining operational efficiency, supporting new technology start-ups, and driving continuous improvements in tool performance.

Key responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of one or more factory toolsets
  • Ensure safety and cleanliness of the work area
  • Review control charts and tool output daily to maintain excursion-free operations
  • Deliver maximum tool availability and achieve matching for operations
  • Develop roadmaps for new technology processes
  • Establish flow, procedures, and equipment configurations
  • Plan and conduct process characterization experiments
  • Drive improvements in quality, yield, reliability, and productivity
  • Develop solutions to process-related problems using statistical knowledge
  • Train process engineers for transfer to other factories
  • Support tool installations and new factory start-up

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree with 6+ years experience or Master's with 4+ years or PhD with 1+ year in relevant engineering fields
  • 2+ years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of statistics and experimental design
  • Clean room experience
  • Good communication skills
