Overview

The Occupational Therapist Director of Rehab (OT DOR) at Powerback Rehabilitation in Windsor, VT, is responsible for managing rehabilitation services while providing direct patient care. This role requires a strong emphasis on maintaining high standards of clinical services and operationally managing personnel within the facility.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage rehabilitation services efficiently and profitably at assigned sites
  • Provide direct patient care
  • Monitor clinical services and ensure ethical compliance
  • Operationally manage rehabilitation personnel and consultants
  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based care and delivery standards
  • Review monthly department outcomes and improve strategies
  • Support therapy staff in overcoming treatment barriers and provide clinical education
  • Conduct annual merit evaluations and hire therapy staff
  • Administer financial controls of revenue and expenses
  • Prepare annual budget in collaboration with Clinical Operations Area Director
  • Develop relationships with facility management and staff
  • Complete monthly reports for facility administration

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy accredited by ACOTE
  • Occupational therapy license in the state of practice
  • Initial registration from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy
  • Three years of direct patient care experience
  • One year of management experience
  • Knowledge of Medicare and third-party billing
