Overview

Lutheran Social Services of WI & Upper MI is seeking an Occupancy Specialist/Property Manager to join their Housing Team in Skandia, Michigan. This role involves providing property management services for two properties with a focus on tenant relations, lease enforcement, and occupancy compliance, all while maintaining a flexible schedule during the day shift.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage tenant and stakeholder issues related to the properties
  • Enforce lease requirements and project rules with supervisory assistance
  • Market and promote properties to ensure high occupancy rates
  • Collect and record all payments related to the project
  • Ensure compliance with HUD regulations and Fair Housing laws
  • Maintain complete and accurate tenant files
  • Conduct facility inspections and prepare for compliance inspections
  • Provide building services and maintain project curb appeal
  • Complete assigned training and seek additional training opportunities

Required skills

  • Experience in property management and customer service
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of HUD handbooks and Fair Housing laws
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to complete Certified Occupancy Specialist training
