Overview

Lutheran Social Services of WI & UP MI is seeking an Occupancy Specialist to join their Housing Team, managing properties in Michigan. This role primarily involves tenant relations, property management, and compliance with HUD regulations, requiring a flexible schedule within a 32-hour work week.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage tenant and stakeholder issues related to the properties
  • Enforce lease requirements and project rules
  • Complete HUD Certified Occupancy Specialist training
  • Market and promote properties to ensure high occupancy rates
  • Collect and record payments including rents and deposits
  • Monitor financial reports for project accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws
  • Conduct apartment inspections and facility testing
  • Participate in compliance inspections and maintain compliant tenant files
  • Provide direct building services and maintain project standards

Required skills

  • Experience in property management
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of HUD regulations

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
