Overview

Jackson and Coker Locum Tenens is seeking an Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician for a locum tenens position in Red Bluff, California. The role involves 24-hour call coverage starting June 30, 2026, with 4-5 shifts per month, requiring a physician to be within a 20-minute response time for emergencies.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide full scope OB/GYN care including deliveries and gynecological surgeries
  • Respond to emergencies in a timely manner while on call
  • Maintain clinical documentation and ensure patient safety
  • Coordinate with dedicated support staff including a Medical Assistant and Practice Manager
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain licensure

Required skills

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB/GYN
  • Active California medical license
  • Certifications in BLS, DEA, NRP/PALS
  • Experience with inpatient/outpatient settings
  • Proficient in emergency response and time management
  • Familiarity with EMR systems, specifically Cerner
