Overview

ATC West Healthcare is looking for a full-time locum OB/GYN physician to join their hospital-owned Four Seasons OB/GYN practice in Brattleboro, Vermont. The role involves providing a comprehensive range of women's healthcare services in a supportive and collaborative environment that prioritizes physician autonomy and work-life balance.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive OB/GYN care including clinic visits, labor and delivery, and gynecologic procedures
  • Manage outpatient clinic responsibilities and participate in call coverage
  • Oversee an average of 14-16 clinic patients per day
  • Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds and gynecologic procedures
  • Work in collaboration with a team that includes other physicians and Certified Nurse Midwives

Required skills

  • Board certification in OB/GYN
  • Active Vermont medical license or eligibility for IMLC
  • BLS and NRP certification
  • Completion of an accredited U.S. or Canadian OB/GYN residency program
  • Management of low-risk and complex obstetric patients
  • Interpretation of fetal heart rate
  • Experience in routine vaginal deliveries, C-section decision-making, and handling complications
  • Office procedures including IUD placement and laparoscopic procedures
