Job Description

Overview

Ascension is seeking an experienced OBGYN for a split position in Brownsburg, Indiana, which involves .6 clinical work in the office and .4 Hospitalist duties. The physician will manage labor, provide postpartum care, and handle patients who present to the OB Unit or Emergency Room, while working in a supportive and inclusive environment focused on reimagining healthcare.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage labor up to and including delivery as requested by generalist physicians
  • Provide urgent postpartum care as requested by the assigned physician
  • Care for all unassigned patients who present to the OB Unit or Emergency Room
  • Triage all patients presenting to the unit unless directly admitted
  • Perform cesarean deliveries when necessary
  • Perform circumcisions
  • Communicate with Maternal Fetal Medicine on consults and actions when requested
