Overview

The OA - LIVE HANG 2ND SHIFT position at Butterball involves performing manual and repetitive tasks to humanely transfer live turkeys onto the processing line. Butterball is committed to fostering a supportive workplace where team members can grow both personally and professionally, contributing to the health of others through quality food products.

Key responsibilities

  • Transfer live birds from holding zone onto shackles on a processing line
  • Perform repetitive tasks without the assistance of tools
  • Adhere strictly to animal care and wellbeing, safety, and food safety standards
  • Follow all GMP and HACCP procedures related to product safety in the facility
  • Support all Food Safety initiatives

Required skills

  • Ability to work independently and in teams
  • Effective planning, organizing, and prioritizing work skills
  • Training and maintenance of a safe work environment
  • Reading and understanding HACCP, FDA, and OSHA requirements
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Physical stamina for standing long periods and lifting up to 60 pounds
