Job Description

Overview

As an OA for Butterball's 1st Shift at the Ozark, Arkansas location, you will be responsible for performing various manual and machine-assisted tasks to process turkey products, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and sanitation standards. This role is integral to supporting daily production goals within the plant environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform varying manual, repetitive tasks to process meat from turkeys
  • Ensure product safety and product defense in the plant
  • Follow all GMP and HACCP procedures related to product safety
  • Support all Food Safety initiatives
  • Monitor equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns
  • Rotate through various functions within the processing department as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required skills

  • High school diploma or related preferred
  • Ability to work independently and with groups
  • Planning, organizing, and prioritizing work skills
  • Training and promoting a safe work environment
  • Understanding of HACCP, FDA, and OSHA requirements
  • Ability to use utensils/tools
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for prolonged periods
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills
