Overview

At KPMG, the NYFS Manager/Senior Manager in Real Estate Tax Services will play a vital role in advising high-profile clients on complex tax challenges. This position involves leading a diverse team and providing tailored tax solutions while ensuring high-quality service delivery and effective client relationship management.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients and act as the point of contact for internal and external clients.
  • Oversee teams of tax professionals working on client projects.
  • Help manage risk and financial performance of engagements, including billing and budget.
  • Advise clients on tax implications and develop strategies.
  • Participate in marketing and business development activities.

Required skills

  • Minimum five years of experience as a tax manager in public accounting.
  • Corporate tax experience in financial services, specifically funds/private equity and real estate.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.
  • Licensed CPA, JD/LLM, or EA.
  • Proficiency in taxation of corporations and other entities.
  • Skills in reviewing complex tax returns.
  • Applied knowledge of GAAP and accounting procedures.
  • Experience managing multiple client engagements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
