Overview

The Nutrition Services Supervisor at OhioHealth is responsible for overseeing the preparation and distribution of food within the healthcare system. This role entails ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards while coordinating with medical nutrition therapy services to support patient needs.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise daily operations within food and nutrition services.
  • Ensure adequate staffing to meet departmental needs.
  • Complete daily assignments and field staffing gaps.
  • Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines and health regulations.
  • Conduct ongoing training and evaluation of employees.
  • Maintain safety and sanitation through inspections.
  • Support managerial tasks such as interviewing and onboarding new associates.
  • Participate in organization processes and improvement initiatives.

Required skills

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Serve-Safe License
  • 2 to 3 years of institutional food service experience
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of institutional food production and delivery systems
