Overview

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for their Palliative Medicine team in Nampa, Idaho. This role involves providing care through hospital and outpatient consultations, focusing on enhancing the quality of life for patients with chronic conditions through interdisciplinary teamwork.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide inpatient and outpatient palliative care consultations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, RNs, and social workers
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans
  • Manage symptoms and address patients' health needs
  • Participate in continuing education on Palliative Care topics

Required skills

  • Successful completion of NP or PA Graduate Program (Masters Level)
  • AANP or ANCC certification for Nurse Practitioners
  • NCCPA certification for Physician Assistants
  • Current, unrestricted Idaho license
  • Valid controlled substance registration with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
  • 2 years of experience in Palliative Medicine preferred
  • Strong communication skills and compassionate care
