Overview

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for their Inpatient Pain Service team in Boise, Idaho. The role involves providing hospital-based consultations and daily rounding for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain management, while working within an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide hospital-based, interdisciplinary team consultations
  • Conduct daily rounding for patients with acute and chronic pain management needs
  • Demonstrate proficiency in comprehensive assessment and care planning
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers including physicians, RNs, and social workers
  • Practice under the supervision of a physician medical director
  • Support a multi-specialty medical group in patient care

Required skills

  • Successful completion of an accredited NP or PA program
  • Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho
  • Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA
  • Strong medical background with experience in adult pain management preferred
  • Passion for meeting patients' health needs
