Overview

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in cardiothoracic surgery in Boise, Idaho. The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide patient-centered care, assist in surgeries, and manage postoperative care in the CVICU and step-down units.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in all cardiac and thoracic operations
  • Manage CVICU and step-down unit
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in clinical research and performance improvement
  • Obtain Oregon medical licensure to support internal programs

Required skills

  • Current, unrestricted Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner medical license in Idaho
  • Valid controlled substance registration with Idaho
  • Previous experience in cardiac disease management
  • Vein harvest experience
  • Strong medical background
