Overview

A Ventura, California based client is seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive wellness, preventative, and medical care to patients of all ages in a community health center. The role emphasizes equitable care and requires a collaborative approach to patient treatment.

Key responsibilities

  • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care
  • Maintain patient records in a timely fashion
  • Provide narrative summaries in EMR to communicate patient information
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Collect, record, and maintain patient information
  • Monitor patients' conditions and reevaluate treatments as necessary
  • Explain procedures and discuss test results with patients
  • Advise patients on diet, activity, and disease prevention
  • Refer patients to specialists when necessary

Required skills

  • Graduated from an accredited NP/PA program
  • Current CA state medical license
  • Current DEA certificate
  • Board certified
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience in Family Practice
