Overview

The Nurse Manager for the Emergency Room (ER) at Niktor LLC is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Emergency Department in Athol, Massachusetts. This role includes ensuring high-quality patient care, staff development, and compliance with regulatory standards while collaborating with nursing leadership and interdisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage daily Emergency Department operations
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff
  • Ensure compliance with clinical standards and regulatory guidelines
  • Monitor staffing productivity and operational performance
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary committees
  • Support patient satisfaction and service excellence goals
  • Assist with budgeting, fiscal oversight, and resource management
  • Coordinate staff education and competency development
  • Monitor infection prevention and medication reconciliation compliance

Required skills

  • Active Massachusetts RN License
  • ACLS Certification (AHA)
  • PALS Certification (AHA)
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive clinical and administrative nursing experience
  • Prior Emergency Department leadership or management experience preferred
  • EMR System, Meditech
  • Associate Degree in Nursing required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • TNCC preferred
  • ENPC preferred
  • CEN preferred
