Job Description

Overview

Granite Recovery Centers is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse for its residential treatment facility in Effingham, New Hampshire. The nurse will provide direct care to patients dealing with substance abuse and mental health challenges, focusing on both medical and emotional support as part of a dedicated team.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete admission procedures and monitor urinalysis collection
  • Document nursing assessments, treatment plans, physician's orders, and progress notes
  • Provide direct care and monitor signs of intoxication and withdrawal
  • Administer medication and maintain accurate Medication Administration Records
  • Develop treatment plans and provide emotional support to patients
  • Maintain a hygienic and safe work environment
  • Consult with in-house and outside professionals for comprehensive care
  • Manage and lead the assigned shift technicians
  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

Required skills

  • Unrestricted RN license in New Hampshire
  • Current CPR and First Aid certifications
  • Experience in detox, emergency, or med-surge nursing preferred
  • Knowledge of medical detoxification for substance abuse
  • Customer service skills and ability to work with diverse populations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Knowledge of addiction medicine criteria and confidentiality laws
  • Ability to respond physically to crisis situations
