Job Description

Overview

Granite Recovery Centers is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse to provide care for patients in their residential treatment facility in Effingham, New Hampshire. This role involves administering nursing assessments, managing medications, and providing direct care to individuals in the Detoxification Unit to support their recovery from substance abuse.

Key responsibilities

  • Complete admission procedures, including paperwork and orientation
  • Monitor urinalysis collection and search for forbidden items
  • Administer and read tuberculosis skin tests
  • Document nursing assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes
  • Provide direct patient care and monitor signs of intoxication and withdrawal
  • Manage and administer medications as ordered by the Medical Director
  • Develop treatment plans and provide emotional support to individuals
  • Interact professionally with clients while maintaining boundaries
  • Consult with staff and outside professionals to ensure quality care
  • Maintain hygienic and safe work environment

Required skills

  • Unrestricted RN license in New Hampshire
  • Current certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Bloodborne Pathogens
  • 1 year of experience in detox, emergency, or med-surge nursing preferred
  • Knowledge of medical detoxification for substance abuse
  • Strong customer service, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse population
  • Physical ability to respond to crisis situations
  • Knowledge of substance-related disorders and related confidentiality laws
  • Ability to work varied schedules including evenings and weekends
