Overview

The Nurse Director of Procedural & Perioperative Services at Nantucket Cottage Hospital is responsible for leading and advancing perioperative services while ensuring high-quality and financially responsible care. This role involves strategic and operational leadership, overseeing a team of 14 FTEs, and partnering closely with the Medical Director of Surgical Services.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership across perioperative services.
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality and efficient patient care.
  • Advance throughput and operational efficiency in service lines.
  • Develop and execute strategies to enhance capabilities and access to care.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Nursing Officer and Medical Director of Surgical Services.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred.
  • Active RN license required.
  • At least eight years of progressive leadership experience in perioperative services.
  • Strong operational acumen and process-oriented mindset.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Union experience preferred.
