Overview

The Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at UNC Health will be responsible for anesthetizing patients during various medical procedures. This position offers a competitive pay rate and a commitment incentive, making it an attractive opportunity for qualified candidates.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess patients pre-operatively and develop anesthesia plan of care.
  • Document assessments and care plans, explaining risks and benefits to patients and families.
  • Maintain anesthesia records and reports in a legible manner.
  • Provide anesthesia in accordance with departmental standards.
  • Attend continuing education and participate in departmental committees.
  • Contribute to performance improvement and assist in collecting data.

Required skills

  • Completion of a Nurse Anesthesia program accredited by AANA.
  • Licensed as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist in North Carolina.
  • No prior experience required.
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills.
  • Effective communication and team collaboration.
