Overview

Palm Health Resources is seeking an experienced Neurology Nurse Practitioner for a 3-month locum position in San Francisco, California. The NP will work with the Headache Center and the inpatient neurology team on a Monday to Friday daytime schedule, handling admissions, monitoring, and discharges of patients referred from the outpatient Migraine clinic.

Key responsibilities

  • Work as an Intake Nurse Practitioner for weekly elective admissions
  • Admit, monitor, and discharge 1-4 elective patients weekly
  • Utilize template order set for treatment of refractory headaches
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and outcomes
  • Order EKGs and Ultrasounds as necessary
  • Collaborate with headache medical faculty and nursing staff

Required skills

  • Experience in ambulatory and inpatient neurology
  • CA NP License at time of application
