Job Description

Overview

Raytheon is seeking a Non-Destructive Test Engineer II for its Tucson, AZ facility to support the Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Group. This role requires expertise in various NDT methods, including Radiographic Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, and Magnetic Particle Testing, as well as experience in inspection techniques for aerospace products.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform various non-destructive testing tasks to support production operations, developmental design, and failure analysis.
  • Conduct onsite inspections of hardware and travel to perform evaluations offsite.
  • Develop new inspection techniques for qualified methods.
  • Collaborate with engineers to create unique test plans and validate inspection techniques.
  • Analyze and interpret results, documenting them in engineering reports.

Required skills

  • Active U.S. government issued security clearance or ability to obtain one.
  • NAS 410 Level 2 Certification in multiple NDT methods.
  • Experience in Non-Destructive Testing techniques such as Digital Radiography, Film Radiography, and Ultrasonic Testing.
  • Strong background in Non-Destructive Inspection of aerospace products.
  • Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Ability to manage tasks within schedule and budget constraints.
