Overview

DocStar Medical Partners is seeking a Nocturnist Physician for locum tenens work in Bullhead City, Arizona, starting January 1, 2026. The role requires an active Arizona medical license and DEA certification, and candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Key responsibilities

  • Cover nocturnist shifts in a 139-bed acute care facility
  • Admit an average of 7-9 patients per night
  • Work under a 7 on/off block schedule
  • Coordinate with 4 MD day rounders
  • Manage patient care in a Level IV Trauma Center with a closed ICU

Required skills

  • Active Arizona medical license
  • DEA certification
  • Board Certified (BC) or Board Eligible (BE) in Family Medicine (FM) or Internal Medicine (IM)
  • ACLS certification
  • ATLS certification
  • Experience in emergency medicine
  • Familiarity with Cerner EMR
