Overview

McGill Environmental Systems is seeking a Night-Shift Security and Fire Prevention Specialist to join their team in Waverly, Virginia. This part-time position is crucial for ensuring the safety and security of the facility during non-operational hours, particularly regarding fire risks associated with compost operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Maintain an on-site presence throughout assigned overnight shifts.
  • Conduct scheduled hourly patrols of the facility to inspect for fire hazards.
  • Document findings from each walkthrough and report any irregularities.
  • Monitor environmental conditions and identify early warning signs of combustion.
  • Ensure all doors, gates, and access points remain secure.
  • Respond effectively to emergencies following established safety protocols.
  • Maintain clear and accurate shift logs.
