Overview

Northrop Grumman is seeking an NG Fellow 1 in Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) to provide technical leadership and strategy for the Sentinel ICBM and other critical programs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading technical initiatives, interfacing with senior leaders, and contributing to the growth goals of the organization.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and direction on Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GN&C) for Sentinel ICBM.
  • Develop GN&C development and maturation strategy for the organization.
  • Lead a diverse team while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Mentor junior engineers and encourage continuous improvement.
  • Allocate resources and manage budgets effectively.
  • Communicate solutions and strategic direction to senior leadership.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 20+ years of related experience (18+ with Master's, 15+ with PhD)
  • Extensive experience in design, development, and validation of GN&C systems
  • Proficiency in Agile principles, processes, and tools
  • Experience with Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE), DOORS requirements management
  • Knowledge of airworthiness certification criteria and nuclear surety standards
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
