Job Description

Overview

The NextGen Pastor at PaulAnn Church is an executive-level position responsible for leading ministries from Middle School through College and Young Adults. This role emphasizes vision, oversight, and the development of young leaders while fostering a culture of discipleship and spiritual growth within the community.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide oversight for High School and Middle School ministries
  • Teach and preach regularly in student and weekend environments
  • Partner with parents in the discipleship of their students
  • Plan and lead student ministry events in collaboration with the NextGen staff
  • Work with Family Ministry staff to ensure consistent discipleship during student transitions
  • Oversee the development of the College and Young Adult ministry
  • Shape worship services to engage young adults and create community connection opportunities
  • Support and guide Community Life Groups for college students and young adults

Required skills

  • Strong teaching and preaching ability
  • Excellent communication and follow-through skills
  • Proven ability to build teams and develop leaders
  • Good pastoral and relational skills
  • Ability to cast vision and implement ministry strategy
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred
  • Seminary degree (MDiv or equivalent) or biblical counseling training a plus
  • 5 years related experience and/or training preferred
