Job Description

Overview

This is a 26-week locum assignment for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) in Albemarle County, Virginia. The position involves providing anesthesia services at a 600-bed, Level 1 trauma center with a diverse patient demographic from ages 8 to end of life.

Key responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia to patients in surgical and emergency settings
  • Perform vascular access procedures including ultrasounds, PIVs, and arterial lines
  • Start and titrate vasoactive medications independently
  • Collaborate with medical staff in a trauma center environment

Required skills

  • VA Active State License
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a CRNA
  • Familiarity with CMAC and glidescope technology
  • Ability to manage trauma care and emergency medicine situations
