Job Description

Overview

Micron is seeking new college graduates for the role of Staff Process Engineer in Boise, Idaho. In this position, you will focus on developing and optimizing processes to enhance product quality and reliability while addressing manufacturing line challenges.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems
  • Coordinate and execute process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization initiatives
  • Lead and participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction activities
  • Validate and fan out new process baseline qualified, including new processes and tools
  • Support SPC/FDC/RMS/APC
  • Manage and audit material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives
  • Support internal and external audits

Required skills

  • MS degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degree
  • Experience developing and maintaining processes on semiconductor equipment
  • PC skills, including M.S. Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote)
  • Understanding of Micron AI tools
  • Industry or R&D experience specific to wafer level processing and wafer inspect methodologies (preferred)
  • PhD degree in relevant technical field (preferred)
