Job Description

Overview

As a Staff Process Engineer at Micron, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing processes to enhance product quality, reliability, and manufacturing efficiency. Your role will involve yield improvement, cost reduction, and managing assembly process-related problems using various methodologies like failure analysis and SPC.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems
  • Coordinate and execute process, equipment, and material evaluation/optimization initiatives
  • Lead and participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction activities
  • Validate new process baseline qualifications including new processes, tools, and materials for new product introduction
  • Support SPC/FDC/RMS/APC efforts
  • Manage and audit material suppliers for quality, cost, and risk management objectives
  • Support internal and external audits

Required skills

  • MS degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degree
  • Experience in developing and maintaining processes on semiconductor equipment
  • Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote)
  • Understanding of Micron AI tools
  • Industry or R&D experience in wafer level processing and inspection methodologies
  • PhD degree in relevant technical field (preferred)
