Job Description

Overview

Micron Technology is seeking a New College Grad for the role of Staff Process Engineer in Boise, Idaho. This position involves starting up, developing, and optimizing processes to enhance product quality and reliability, while also focusing on yield improvement, cost reduction, and risk management in semiconductor manufacturing.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve assembly process related problems
  • Coordinate and execute process, equipment, and material evaluation/optimization initiatives
  • Lead and participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction activities
  • Validate and fan out new process baseline qualified for new product introduction
  • Support SPC, FDC, and RMS
  • Manage and audit material suppliers to meet quality, cost, and risk management objectives
  • Support internal and external audits

Required skills

  • MS degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degree
  • PC skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote)
  • Understanding of Micron AI tools
  • Experience in developing and maintaining processes on semiconductor equipment
  • Prioritization and independent working skills
  • Preferred: PhD degree in relevant technical field
  • Industry or R&D experience specific to wafer level processing
