Job Description

Overview

Micron is seeking a New College Grad - Staff Process Engineer in Nampa, Idaho, to develop and optimize processes aimed at enhancing product quality and reliability. The role involves identifying and resolving assembly process-related issues, managing process improvements, and ensuring effective communication with material suppliers.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve assembly process related problems
  • Coordinate and execute process, equipment, and material evaluation/optimization initiatives
  • Lead and participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction activities
  • Validate and fan out new process baseline qualifications for new products
  • Support SPC/FDC/RMS/APC
  • Manage and audit material suppliers to achieve quality and cost objectives
  • Support internal and external audits

Required skills

  • MS degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant technical degree
  • PC skills including M.S. Office and understanding of Micron AI tools
  • Experience in developing and maintaining processes on semiconductor equipment
  • Preferred: PhD degree in relevant technical field
  • Industry or R&D experience in wafer level processing and wafer inspect methodologies
