Job Description

Overview

Micron Technology is seeking a Staff Process Engineer to join their team in Boise, Idaho. This role focuses on developing and optimizing processes to enhance product quality and reliability, as well as improving process yield and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will address manufacturing line issues using analytical methodologies and coordinate evaluations to implement process optimization.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems
  • Coordinate and execute process, equipment and material evaluations and optimizations
  • Lead and participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction activities
  • Validate and fan out new process baseline qualifications for new products
  • Support SPC, FDC, RMS, and APC initiatives
  • Manage and audit material suppliers to meet quality, cost, and risk management objectives
  • Assist with internal and external audits

Required skills

  • MS degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical field
  • PC skills including M.S. Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote)
  • Experience developing and maintaining processes on semiconductor equipment
  • Understanding of FMEA, SPC, and failure analysis methodologies
  • Industry or R&D experience in wafer level processing and wafer inspection methodologies (preferred)
  • PhD Degree in relevant technical field (preferred)
