Job Description

Overview

As a Staff Process Engineer at Micron, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability in the semiconductor industry. Your role will involve diagnosing assembly process issues, leading yield improvement initiatives, and managing supplier relationships to meet quality and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems
  • Coordinate and execute process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization
  • Lead and participate in continuous yield improvement and cost reduction activities
  • Validate and fan out new process baseline qualifications for new products
  • Support SPC/FDC/RMS/APC initiatives
  • Manage and audit material suppliers to ensure quality and cost objectives
  • Support internal and external audits

Required skills

  • MS degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • PC skills including M.S. Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote)
  • Understanding of Micron AI tools
  • Experience in developing and maintaining processes on semiconductor equipment
  • PhD degree in relevant technical field (preferred)
  • Industry or R&D experience in wafer level processing and inspection methodologies (preferred)
