Overview

Micron Technology seeks a New College Graduate for the role of Staff Process Engineer in Garden City, Idaho. This position focuses on developing and optimizing processes to enhance product quality and reliability within semiconductor manufacturing. The engineer will work on yield improvement, cost reduction, and problem resolution in assembly processes, applying methodologies such as FMEA and SPC.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify, diagnose and resolve assembly process related problems
  • Coordinate and execute process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization initiatives
  • Lead and participate in yield improvement and cost reduction activities
  • Validate new process baseline qualifications including new tools or materials
  • Support SPC/FDC/RM/APC
  • Manage and audit material suppliers for quality, cost, and risk management
  • Support internal and external audits

Required skills

  • MS degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Experience in semiconductor equipment processes
  • PC skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote)
  • Understanding of Micron AI tools
  • Industry or R&D experience in wafer level processing and inspection methodologies
  • PhD degree in relevant technical field (preferred)
