Job Description

Overview

The Neurology Physician Assistant at the University of Missouri School of Medicine is responsible for providing specialized nursing care and clinical coordination for participants enrolled in clinical trials. This role focuses on ensuring patient safety and adherence to regulatory requirements while supporting patients throughout their study participation.

Key responsibilities

  • Screen and enroll patients according to clinical trial eligibility requirements
  • Provide direct nursing care, including phlebotomy, IV placement, and EKGs
  • Monitor subjects for changes in condition and protocol adherence
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in source records and case report forms
  • Assist with regulatory documentation and ensure compliance with institutional requirements
  • Recruit and consent participants in collaboration with the Principal Investigator
  • Educate and collaborate with ancillary staff and clinical teams regarding study requirements
