Job Description

Overview

The Neurology Physician will conduct VA Compensation and Pension examinations for Veterans, specifically focusing on Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and associated conditions. This is an examination-only position with no treatment or prescribing involved, and requires travel within Georgia on a flexible schedule.

Key responsibilities

  • Perform structured neurological evaluations focused on TBI residuals
  • Assess symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, cognitive deficits, and other neuropsychological issues
  • Differentiate TBI from overlapping conditions like PTSD and depression
  • Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) with clear documentation

Required skills

  • MD or DO with completed Neurology residency
  • Active, unrestricted medical license
  • DEA license (may be required)
  • Ability to complete onboarding and background requirements
