Overview

Ochsner Health in Lake Charles is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Neurologist to join their well-supported, collaborative practice. This general neurology position offers opportunities to incorporate subspecialty interests and focuses mainly on outpatient care with minimal inpatient responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide quality patient care in a collaborative environment
  • Incorporate subspecialty interests such as headache, neuromuscular, epilepsy, stroke, and movement disorders
  • Utilize an established referral base and strong primary care network to manage patient volume
  • Engage with tele-neurology and tele-stroke services
  • Work closely with a team of neurologists, hospitalists, and specialty providers
  • Maintain high standards of evidence-based practice and multidisciplinary collaboration

Required skills

  • Board-Certified/Board-Eligible in Neurology
  • Experience in outpatient-focused practice
  • Knowledge of EPIC electronic medical record system
  • Skills in neurodiagnostic testing including EEG and EMG
