Overview

The University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking a full-time Neurology Nurse Practitioner to join its expanding inpatient services team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work within a premier academic neurology department, contributing to a team-oriented environment focused on patient care and clinical education.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide care to neurological patients in an inpatient setting independently and collaboratively with physicians
  • Communicate with physicians regarding changes in patients' clinical conditions and diagnostic study results
  • Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patients' conditions
  • Perform treatments and interventions and conduct teaching and counseling for patients and families
  • Facilitate clinical research
  • Utilize basic computer skills and problem-solving abilities
